Hey! I messaged you a few months ago about my family situation where I was basically facing "excommunication" so to speak. I'd like to say that since then, although things haven't improved much, my family has temporary accepted my lack of belief. I finally got my hands on "The God Virus" and a few other recommended readings, and I've shared your blog with some good friends and they've enjoyed it a lot. Since then we've become less publicly shy about our atheism, which has gotten us some backlash, but we are standing strong. I still have a long ways to go until religion no longer plays a negative role in my life, but it's getting better. Thanks for everything.

That is absolutely brilliant news, I’m beyond happy for you! As I always say, atheism doesn’t define you, it’s just a part of you, so if the people who claim to love you really do value your feelings, it won’t be an issue. Good for you for standing strong! I wish you all the luck in the world.

I am a strong supporter of scientific education, and my aim for this blog is to raise awareness and enthusiasm for evidence-based understanding of our world and universe.
