I think you'll like this one. I had to take a class in college called Study of Religion, and the instructor actually said in class that religion is for stupid and poor people basically to allow them to feel good about their troubled lives by thinking that there will be a reward at the end of their life.

As much as I would find this hilarious that a teacher actually said that, they are being pretty biast and unfair by saying that only poor people use religion as a crutch, as there are a lot of very wealthy, powerful people who are also heavily religious. To me that almost seemed like they were mocking poor people as opposed to religion, which just made me uneasy. Thanks for the story though anon!
